Kickass Torrent offline

The biggest bittorrent site Kickasstorrent has been taken down, as TorrentFreak has reported homeland security has taken down the Kickasstorrents as well as serveral proxy sites. They also arrested the 30-year-old admin of kickass, Artem Vaulin, in poland.

Kickass Proxy which are online

Most of the offical Kickasstorrents domains have been taken down, for example KAT.cr the main domain of Kickasstorrents over the last couple of month. But some kickass proxy sites are still working. Some proxy sites have a kickass proxy which is online and beeing updated!

Will my old kickass account work?

As far as the isoHunt team has seen, you are not able to use or old kickass account on those mirror sites. Most of the proxy sites disable the login function. Probadly because they did not have access to the database of KAT. Maybe there will be a backup released one day, but for now all kickass torrents accounts are disabled!

Will Kickass make a comeback?

As most of the active bittorrent user have seen, ThePirateBay has come back after they have been shut down back in 2014. But there is a difference between the takedown of TPB compared to Kickass. The offical domain of PirateBay has never been taken down, all they did is shutting down the server. Whereas Kickass Torrents offical websites are all offline. They even display a takedown notice as you can see below.
